It is important for us to think about our future and the health of future generations to come and what we can do to preserve life as we know it today. That is the motto of Backyard Skateboards Inc. That is why we use only 100% bamboo skateboard decks and organic clothing. That is why we refuse to fold to the traditions in skateboarding that continues to lead to deforestation in North America. Know that yes our product is green and eco-friendly, but know that it is also far superior in quality to traditional maple decks as well!
Every Backyard Skateboards skateboard is made of 100%, 3 or 4 ply bamboo. Each deck weighs 2.5-2.8 pounds and has a shallow to medium concave. By nature, bamboo has much greater pop than maple, is stronger than maple , and is lighter than maple. Just like our Backyard skateboards, every piece from our new line of clothing is made of organic material and eco friendly inks.
